Make the first step visible
An idea needs a first action
Big projects often stay in our heads because the first step is unclear. “Write a book” is a goal. “List three questions my reader asks” is an action you can take today.
Choose a first action that produces something visible: a paragraph, a sketch, or a short conversation. It should teach you something about the next step.
Let the reader guide you
Think of one person who could benefit from what you know. What do they struggle with? What have they already tried? Write for that person before trying to reach everyone.
A useful beginning does not answer every question. It gives the reader a reason to turn the page.
